RICE & PEANUT BUTTER

But I made a recipe yesterday that made me wanna jump and holler! I ate
it again today as I am on my way to do a 40-mile bike ride, as I know
I'll be sitting for about 4-5 hours.

INGREDIENTS

ØØ One half cup of Rice per person
ØØ One tablespoon of freshly ground Peanut Butter
ØØ One heaping cup of chopped Celery
ØØ a small pinch of Cayenne Pepper
ØØ One quarter teaspoon of Basil
ØØ One quarter teaspoon of Thyme
ØØ One quarter teaspoon of Oregano
ØØ One quarter teaspoon of Sea Kelp

1st of all wash the whole grain rice and let it toast it in a dry
skillet on a medium heat until golden brown (about 3-5 minutes) or until
just before they start popping in the skillet. Then cook the rice
immediately.

Here's the best procedure I've found to cook it from this point. Always
2 parts water to 1 part rice. While the water is coming to a boil with
the rice already in the water, add your favorite spices and herbs. I add
a small pinch of Cayenne Pepper, ¼¼ teaspoon of Basil, ¼¼ teaspoon of
Thyme, ¼¼ teaspoon of Oregano with ¼¼ teaspoon of Sea Kelp for the salty
taste we like to have in the recipe.

Now when the water begins to boil, turn it down to the lowest heat for
exactly 1-hour then shut the stove off completely. Now is the time to
add the Peanut Butter and stir vigorously. Let cool down to room
temperature and pour the cup of raw Celery over the top of it and enjoy
a terrific energy dish!

Let me know how high you jumped and how loud you hollered! :>)

CHOCOLATE SMOOTHIE

Top of the day to you and I hope you had a great Easter.

I feel this would be a great time to share with you my Chocolate
Smoothie since so many folks were indulging in those Chocolate goodies.
This is a favorite in our home and with a heap of my clients when they
have an urge for chocolate. Check this out.

INGREDIENTS:

ØØ 2 Cups of Coconut Water (if you can find it???) I have no problem
getting it here in the sunny south. But just buy a coconut in your
favorite grocery store and drain as much juice out of 1 coconut as you
can. Here's how to do it. Get an ice pick and one of the eyes always
opens easily and you'll have to hit the pick slightly with a hammer to
get the other eye open so the coconut water will empty freely in a
glass.
ØØ 4 Bananas
ØØ 1 Tablespoon of Carob Powder (you can buy this in any Health Food
Store and is and incredible substitute for Chocolate.)
ØØ 3 Pitted dates

Put all the ingredients into your blender or Vitamix, (They even have a
new product out now that I'm researching out for you and it's called the
Thermomix! I will keep you posted on it) Let blend for about 30 seconds
and what a powerful drink. It's absolutely a slam dunk with 2 boy
howdys and a couple Hail Mary's! Now that's a kick butt rating!

RAW POWER DRINK

I have to tell you that before a training session and after the session,
I look for quick, easy, highly nutritious, energy gaining and not energy
draining foods, i.e. anything that's white especially, to make the whole
event profitable.

And I also like to have this about an hour before a speech as well
because the energy it gives me to hold me over is excellent.

And one more thing, it's all RAW! So it's perfectly clean burning in the
body! Check this out.

As I said very easy, cut the corn off of 4 ears of Corn and put it in
your Vitamix or Thermomix along with 2 Organic Carrots (you can but them
in almost any major grocery store chain) and 1 large Burpless Cucumber
and 1 stalk of celery! Let it blend on a high speed for at least 2
minutes until it becomes a cream. DO NOT PUT WATER IN IT as it really
dilutes the flavor.

This usually makes about 2 large glasses. I always drink 1 glass about 1
hour before the training event (especially the bike ride). After
drinking it I will take a nap for about 30-45 minutes, as it will have
had a good chance to get out of the stomach by then.

So much of your fitness program is attitude so when you get on a roll,
the endurance of this drink will be nothing of amazing. You'll be doing
a couple boy howdy's with this one for sure.

Stay terrific. I appreciate you and all the comments each of you send
me each week. With several thousand hearing from me each week, it's more
than I ever thought it would be. So when I say I appreciate you, I
really do! Best to you!

MANGO & BANANA

While listening to a little George Benson from one of his newer C/D's
(from the library of course) entitled "Big Boss Band" after finishing up
my morning ritual of a couple sets of great pull-ups behind the neck (I
consider them the best for arm and shoulder strength), I wanted
something to really reward myself for this great day to rejoice and be
glad in it.

This will absolutely jump start your day better than anything else I
know of at this time of year other than probably a good dose of sex...
and with recipe, even that is arguable. Mangoes are in season and
naturally it's my favorite time of year. I'm so glad I have the best
sources of fruit available to me. And if you would like to have those
sources, let me know and I will gladly e-mail you a copy of them.

INGREDIENTS:

2 Mangoes
6 Bananas
One quarter cup of Seedless Raisins.

Get a large salad bowl and put some Mango squares in it. Here's how you
get into a Mango with the least hassle. Cut the cheeks off both sides.
The cheeks are the flat side leaving you with just the seed with the
thin slice of rind around it left. Take the cheek in your left hand (if
you are right handed) and run a knife through it in a tic-tac-toe
fashion.

Then take a soupspoon and scoop it out in the salad bowl. Then cut up
the 6 Bananas and stir the two ingredients real well (about 5 seconds)
to make a nice brothy sort of texture and then sprinkle the Raisins over
the top of it. NOW WE'RE TALKIN'!

Honest to goodness, this is a slam-dunk if there ever was one. Talk
about an awesome way to start the day. And forget all that calorie
counting nonsense. This is an incredible Breakfast and they terrific
calories our body need. This can feed as many people as you want to but
I made this one just for me and it was delicious. And as a matter of
fact i just finished mine.

The key that insures your success in any endeavor, is desire. If you are
willing to pay the price, even your circumstances will change. If you
want something badly enough, you are sure to get it.

Reality forms around the commitments you make. Your desires will in time
externalize themselves into concrete facts.

Obstacles don't matter very much. Pain or other circumstances can be
there. But if you want to do something bad enough, you'll find a way to
get it done.

You only have to love a thing greatly to get it. There are 10, 638
people who will get this recipe today and I'm convinced if you want to
be tough, you have to eat good stuff…… (Key Word WANT) But people only
want what they want when the want is more than the effort. This is one
of the reasons why I'm trying to keep these recipes very simple for you.

HOW TO PREPARE CHICKEN

I have a great friend for over 22 years and she is not being able to get
away all the much so every so often I prepare a meal for her. She asked
me if I knew how to prepare Chicken. Well it was something I didn't want
to do, but I had to take into consideration that we must always give
people what they want when they are paying for what they want and not
try to give them what they need. One of those basic marketing tips I
learned a long time ago!

So I thought, "what the heck, let's go for it." So I found a great place
that prides themselves with Free-Range Chickens and it was already
cooked Rotisserie Style to boot. So I bought one and had them cut the
legs off it, as I would probably have refused if she had have told me
how to do. It's one thing asking someone to do something for you, but
it's quite another when they tell you how. So I just got her the breast
quarters.

I took the skin off them and I steamed up some (whole) Yellow Summer
Squash and some Zucchini Squash. I cut the white meat only into small
chunks and when the Squash was done (You just bring the water to a boil
while the squash is in the steamer for exactly 1 minute then shut the
stove off so the squash can finish cooking in the steam. It usually
takes about 5 more minutes……much like steeping a cup of tea where you
just let it set for a few minutes...in this case 5 minutes), put the
whole cooked Squash on top of the Chicken Chunks and cut the squash into ½½" slices
and mix thoroughly using some Parsley and Basil as flavoring agents.

I brought it over and the two women were ecstatic!

Now one last thing I will qualify myself for sharing with you this
recipe. I have now almost 12,000 people who read my messages each week.
Last week it was 10,638, so you can see the readership is really growing
and one of my biggest requests this last month (over 2000 of them if you
can imagine) was to produce a recipe that wasn't Vegetarian! So for all
the ones who may be offended with this, forgive me but I do want to try
and please everyone which is a real tough call.

I know everything has a price. No one has a corner on success. Pay the
price for it and it is yours.

There is no easy road to success. You've got to work a great deal harder
than most people to get it. Nothing worthwhile will come easily to you.
Hard work will accomplish results that last.

No matter what you want from life, you've got to give up something to
get it. There is no success at bargain basement prices. You'll find that
the highway to success is a toll road.

And I know I'll have to pay the price with some dissatisfied folks, but
this is a chance I had to take to appease so many of you who have been
with me since day one over 2 years ago and have asked for a healthier
way to eat Chicken! So this was the only way I knew how to do it (other
than a Chicken Caesar Salad and you just add the Chicken to the Caesar
Salad I gave you a few weeks ago). Enjoy it for the ones who are excited
about it.

By the way, there is just one thing I know of that there isn't a price
to pay for and that's your health; you just have to enjoy the benefits.
And the only way I know how to do that is to embrace the things that
make us healthy as I wrote in last month's article. If anyone would like
to have that article, please let me know and I will forward it to you
right away.

Best to you.

MANGO SMOOTHIE

The top of the day to you

Honest to goodness, I wanted to give you a recipe this week for picking
out an awesome cantaloupe, but I just couldn't help myself as this
week's recipe kicks butt and I mean, in a big way!

Dr. Roger Scott and I drove down to Merritt Island today to get some
mangoes. Two things here, it's always such a pleasure when someone loves
something as much as you do and Roger LOVES mangoes and the other thing,
I made this Mango Smoothie for each of us to gorge into on the way. We
each had a quart of it and WOW, WOW, WOW! Talk about getting full.

Well after a couple pit stops at the rest areas along the interstate, we
finally made it to the Mango Grove or is it Orchard? Who knows, it's
heaven when you are in the middle of 10 acres of over 50 different kinds
of Mangoes.

What an awesome time we had. I bought 4 bushels for me as I have a big
July 4th party coming up on Wednesday! Everyone there, who are my fellow
speakers at my great friend Terry Brock's Penthouse, always expect The
Mango Man (ME) to have the best of them the one time we can all get
together each year.

I would encourage each of you to get at lest a bushel and when 4-6 of
them ripen, here's all you do……

Cut the Mango Cheeks off the Mango and scrape the flesh out of the
cheeks and put into your blender. Blend for about 15-20 seconds and
bingo, you have it. And you will be jammin' & jivin' around the house
getting real positive as this is one of the best recipes I look forward
to all year.

And that's saying a lot as there are a lot of them I really, really like
throughout the year.

Anyway, enjoy this one and I'll be showing you how to pick out an
incredible CANTALOUPE next week.

I know it is sometimes strange when you are trying new things,
especially when it's a lifestyle change or even subtle changes for that
matter, but the first step toward getting somewhere is to decide that
you're not going to stay where you are.

You're a product of your environment. So choose an environment that will
best develop you toward your goals.

Analyze your life in terms of your environment. Are the things around
you helping you toward your success - or are they holding you back.

Your world today is a living expression of how you are using and have
used your mind. It's something you can change at any time.

Don't remain a captive to your environment. Don't say "If I could, I
would" , say "If I can, I will".

I wish you great things...you very much deserve them. And by the way, we
just finished "The Romance of Finance" and is so new we don't even have
it on my website yet.
